July 13, 2011 in HOUSTON: The First 100 Days of YOUR GREAT INITIATIVES
What's so Big About the First 100-Days?
When it comes to deep implementation, what you do in the first 100-days matters. matters.

Many leaders are surprised to know that certain high impact actions taken in the first 100-days of launching an initiative lead to deep implementation and impact in the years ahead. In fact, without these early, high impact actions, most initiatives are doomed to fail. No wonder so many organizational strategies don’t get off the ground or fail to thrive.

In this seminar, participants learn the process of “First 100-Day Planning.” Each person/team will leave with a plan for launching an important organizational initiative. You will learn the specific high impact actions that lead to:
    • Defined organizational needs related to the initiative and related to the transformation.
    • Engagement of the “first followers” who will take the initiative to full implementation.
    • Structures that promote experimentation and learning from failures.
    • Networks of support, communication, and celebration.
Dr. Elle Allison, researcher, writer, consultant and facilitator in Organizational Learning as well as the co-author along with Dr. Douglas Reeves of the three book Renewal Coaching series, will facilitate the widely acclaimed “First 100-Days Planning Process.” Participants will leave with a complete plan for launching a significant organizational initiative to success.

July 14-15, 2011 in HOUSTON: Happy Leaders Doing MEANINGFUL WORK
No one else is talking about this. But we all should be.

Happiness is essential to leaders who want to create sustainable change. But so many good leaders encounter situations that deplete their energy and reduce their effectiveness. What if more leaders were energized, resilient, optimistic and inspiring?
Our research shows that leaders who find meaning in their work and achieve results are also:
      • Extraordinarily resilient. They bounce forward and take action, rather quickly, when facing setbacks.
      • Energized from caring for daily and visionary personal renewal.
      • Emotionally resonant. They create force fields of hope, compassion, and mindfulness.
      • Well connected through networks of important relationships.
      • Great coaches: they build leadership in others.
      • More optimistic than cynical. They look at “brutal facts” and believe they can make a difference.
      • Wise and timely decision makers.

Based on the research and field studies documented in the Renewal Coaching books, Dr. Elle Allison guides participants through a personal exploration of the practices of happy leaders doing meaningful work as they apply them to important initiatives in their organizations.

      • Assess your personal response to “change killers” and determine an optimistic path forward.
      • Apply a process for making wise and timely decisions.

      Leadership for Sustainable Change Series
      Workshop Titles:

      1. "The Seven Elements of Renewal for Sustainable Change" This is a two-day, hands-on workshop.  Participants bring a current project and apply the ideas they learn to create success and sustainability.

      2. "The 100-Days to Renewal Plan"  This is a one-day, faced paced, active workshop.  Participants leave with a plan for taking action in their project and see results in the first 100 days.

      3.  "Leaders Who Coach" This is a two-day workshop that will have you coaching your colleagues and the people you supervise the first day you are back in your office when the workshop concludes. Leaders who coach, lead more! Leaders who use coaching in their interactions with others develop and support people in ways that lead to meaningful outcomes for individuals and organizations.

Great Coaching for Meaningful Work Series
      Workshop Titles:

      1. "The Foundations of Great Coaching" This is a two-day workshop that will have you engaged in coaching by the end of the first day.  By the end of the second day you will have engaged in several coaching conversations, been coached on a project that matters to you (so you can feel what it is like to be coached on something that matters) and you will feel confident in your ability to coach on the job the very next day.  Each participant receives a "transfer tool" that helps you embed great coaching on the job. We guarantee, you'll be doing "the jaunty walk" as you leave this two-day session.

      2. "Great Coaching for Classroom Leaders" Working within our schools are teacher leaders who are responsible for facilitating and inspiring teams of their colleagues engaged in professional learning to help all students succeed. These teacher leaders are literacy coaches, instructional coaches, team leaders, PLC leaders, and data team leaders who want to know how to coach.  In this program,  classroom leaders who are responsible for coaching other individuals and teams will come away with specific processes, tools and coaching secrets to support their colleagues through coaching. A few details:
      • This workshop is a development program that provides follow-up support over a period of about six months. There are three initial on-site days, three webinars, and two follow-up days.  Participants are asked to coach another person and be coached by someone from class.
      • Each participant receives a "transfer tool" that helps you embed great coaching on the job with the school teams you lead or coach. Once again, we guarantee you'll be doing "the jaunty walk" when you complete this program!

       3."Renewal Coach Licensing"
